National outlook
Across the United States, 1061 monitoring stations are currently reporting, with 903 stations in the Good air quality category, 156 in the Moderate category, and 2 in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category. The most affected areas include Cataño 40, Puerto Rico, with 53 µg/m³, and Hidden Valley, Arizona, with 40 µg/m³. Over the next 48 hours, models predict the highest smoke levels in several locations in Washington, including Anacortes-202 Ave (SO-AQS), Bellingham Pacific, Twisp-S Lincoln St, Anacortes-Bartholomew Rd (US), Darrington-Fir St, and Mt Vernon-S 2nd St, all forecast to reach over 500 µg/m³. Other stations, such as Rahway PM, New Jersey, and Otay Mesa - Donovan, California, are expected to see rising levels, with forecasts reaching 52 µg/m³ and 33 µg/m³, respectively.
